Spinach

Spinach is, just like broccoli, cultivated in rotation with cereals and it is planted with a grain machine from September to January. The duration of the cultivation is 70 to 90 days and requires nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Our members are supported on a technical level both by the staff of our Cooperative and by the company "Barba Stathis" with whom we cooperate. The harvest is carried out with a harvesting machine. The yields range from 1,500 to 2,500 kg/acre for the first harvest and for the second harvest 250 to 1,000 kg/acre as long as the conditions allow it.
Spinach is included in the Contractual Agriculture program of the Cooperative As a result, there is a secured sale and also funding solutions available to our members.
